What we collect

Account details you provide (name, email, and a photo if you add one), anything you post in the community, your activity in the app (paper investments, course progress, quiz results), and — for traders who link a brokerage — read-only trading data (fills, balances, deposits and withdrawals, and the account holder's name as the broker holds it) supplied by the broker with the trader's explicit authorization. If you ask us to remember a device for sign-in, we store a random token for that device — never a hardware identifier.

What we never collect

We never receive your brokerage password. Broker connections use the broker's own login page and can be revoked by you at any time from your brokerage account. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

How data is used

To operate the app: computing confirmed track records, showing your portfolio and progress, improving the product, and responding to support requests. Aggregated, de-identified statistics (for example, average quiz scores) may be used to improve the course.

Sharing

Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the app — hosting and email delivery — under contract, and where required by law or regulation. We use no advertising or analytics services and there is no tracking in this app. Three specifics worth naming. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, that provider runs the sign-in and therefore learns that you authenticated with us; we receive only the signed token they hand back, and never your password with them. Community posts are checked before they appear by an automated filter we run ourselves, on our own servers — no post is sent to a third party to be assessed. And course videos are embedded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set tracking cookies when a lesson page loads. Playing a video still contacts Google, and Google's own terms apply to that. A trader's displayed record shows performance statistics only — never their individual trades.

Retention & deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Account → Delete account. Deletion removes your account, profile, photos, posts, paper history and course progress. Anything you have backed is withdrawn and returned to your paper balance; if you run a pool that others have backed, the pool is closed and removed, every backer is refunded and told why, and the pool's ledger is kept in closed form so backers can still see what happened to what they put in. Replies other members wrote stay, with your post shown as removed, so their conversations remain readable. Reports other members filed about your conduct are kept. Records we must keep for legal or audit reasons are retained only as required.
